Biography
He is a professor of governance practices, the president of Value Institution for postgraduate education and a visiting professor and thesis advisor at diverse academic institutions. He had BSc. of pharm Sciences, Master of Business Administration; A.U.C., Doctor of pharmacy; Saskatchewan, Diploma in International-Economics; Cambridge, and PhD in Industrial Management, Aston University. Over the last fifteen years, he has been focusing on governance domains of practices for public, private and not-for-profit organisations, and extensively providing academic, educational and technical cutting-edge advisory consultations to a wide range of healthcare industries and academic circles on governance and health-economics. Dr Emad is a scientific board member at the National Training Institute (MOH) and a member of Governance and Social Accountability Task Force of MOH of Egypt. He also is a founding member, vice president and secretary general of Egyptian Healthcare Society, and a development committee member at the National Organization of Drug Control and Research (NODCAR). He worked for more than nine years as part-time consultant at WHO-EMRO. Dr Emad has been involved in and contributed to many international and regional researches on health systems, academic governance, health-economics, and governance structures and functions. As a governance adviser, he has conducted, directed and supported different governance processes at various local, regional and international assisted senior-level executives towards institutional governance enhancing operations and integration in academic governance, board governance, health and healthcare governance and health systems performance, reforms and restructuring contexts. Also, as international speaker and panellist Dr Emad delivered numerous speeches and published in different international journals on healthcare and governance related conferences and workshops. Also, he authored a number of books, articles, reports, toolkits, programs and curricula addressing post-graduate education and various aspects of academic, healthcare and governance foundations.
